The Marmen Quartet is fast building a reputation for the courage, vitality and vigour of its performances, recently winning First Prize at the Banff International String Quartet Competition. In this concert, focussed on the works of Schubert, they perform his dark and lyrical Quartettsatz alongside his hauntingly transcendent final string quartet.
